Who are we?
The Suffolk Tourist Guide is owned and operated by Sarah Quinlan, ably assisted by Sarah Kerr & Nicola Ahier on admin, Sue Hamilton our techie, recent addition Laura Churchill who is going to run the
Suffolk Weddings Guide, and top dog Molly (above). Our other Guides are the Suffolk Hotels Guide which specialises in, you guessed, Suffolk Hotels, and www.suffolkweddingsguide.co.uk to bring you the best wedding venues that Suffolk has to offer. The Guides are not connected to the Suffolk Tourist Board or any other organisation.

Nicola Ahier is our ultra efficient admin Guru and keeps us in good order (mostly!).

Kerry Brind has recently joined us to take charge of the
Suffolk Weddings Guide as she has recent experience of getting married in Suffolk so she knows first hand that it's the best place to get hitched!

Sue Hamilton takes care of the technical aspects of keeping the Guides running smoothly and developing new functionalities to help make the website user experience easier. Sue has been a florist, a playbus worker and a youth worker before moving unexpectedly into working with young homeless people and people with mental health issues in the use of computers to build websites. She spends a lot of her time maintaining and developing the Suffolk Guides and in her spare time she builds database driven, CMS controlled websites.
You can contact her at suzanne.hami@gmail.com

Sarah Kerr - is our chief Content Writer and since joining the Suffolk Tourist Guide in April 2009, Sarah's knowledge of Suffolk has - happily - increased tenfold. Sarah is also a freelance writer for a number of other companies and organisations. In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading fiction and has a keen interest in World Cinema - her interest in and knowledge of the subject often verges on the obsessive.

Sarah Quinlan set up the Suffolk Tourist Guide in March 2007 having escaped the City where she worked for a variety of global Banks including Sumitomo Mitsui, Australia & New Zealand Bank and Deutsche Bank. In the City Sarah was responsible for multinational clients in a variety of sectors including Retail (eg largest deal worked on was the Morrisons acquisition of Safeway, when her bank lent over £1.5bn to Morrisons), Hotels and Leisure (clients included IHG, Hilton, Whitbread, De Vere), Food Services (clients included Premier Foods, Northern Foods, RHM, Uniq). After completing an MBA Sarah set up the Tourist Guide to show what Suffok has to offer to a wider audience. Given her corporate background Sarah is very keen to work with small – medium sized businesses in Suffolk to help them promote their services online.
See Sarah's profile on LinkedIn,
Sarah has a 'Beginners Guide to online marketing' blog - Sarah's Blog which is for clients and aims to give some guidance on the confusing world of online marketing, and you can follow Sarah on Twitter @SarahinSuffolk

10% of the annual profits from the Guides are donated to CAMFED, which stands for the Campaign for Female Education. This charity is dedicated to fighting poverty and AIDS in rural communities in Africa by educating girls. CAMFED began in 1993 by supporting 32 girls in rural Zimbabwe. In 2005, more than 246,520 children benefited from CAMFED’s programme of educational support in some of the poorest regions of Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana and Tanzania.
