This superb English pub with new en-suite accommodation offers the perfect base for your visit to Bury St Edmunds whether you are working or just visiting. We are situated in the heart of the Town and just 15 minutes walk from the railway station.

Our Bed and Breakfast accommodation comprises 5 rooms, all ensuite, 3 twin rooms and 2 single rooms. All rooms have been practically designed to a high standard with modern and contemporary furniture and fittings, and include remote controlled colour televisions.

The Black Boy offers great food in a traditional pub atmosphere with a warm welcome for everyone. We sell the finest cask conditioned Greene King Ales along with a large selection of beers, lagers and spirits.

Come and eat at The Black Boy. Enjoy a meal in our bar, or, if the weather is nice, then eat outside on our patio area.

At The Black Boy we can cater for all your needs and specific requirements - we have a dish just for you on our menu. We also have daily specials, so do pop in to try our food!

We serve food from 12pm until 2pm and then from 6pm until 10pm.

The Black Boy is located in the beautiful cathedral town of Bury St. Edmunds - famous for its traditional ale brewing and its Abbey Gardens. We are just two minutes walk from Bury St Edmunds town centre with numerous local attractions.

The town has an outdoor market on a Wednesday and a Saturday and a host of shops situated in its pedestrianised town centre.

The town amenities include the Greene King Visitor centre, the Abbey Gardens, the Theatre Royal, numerous restaurants and a lively nightlife.
