Born in Los Angeles now living in London – come join us on Saturday 2nd June to enjoy the magnificent live performance of Kathleen Pearson with her bluesy soul band Kat&Co Kat has one of the most genuine and sassy stage performances on the UK blues scene today.
Kathleen moved to London and joined "Black Girl Rock" who appeared on Channel 4's The Word. But she is familiar to many for recording the single "Things Can Only Get Better" with D:Ream, which she went on to tour around the world with. She then signed to Columbia Records with Comanche Park who issued the album "Crucify" and went on to write the music for channel 4’s award winning "Naked City".
Our lead singer loves SOUL FOOD so this will be the themed menu for this evening. Come join The Collective for some SOUL FOOD COOKIN’ & an evening of live bluesy soul music lead by the funkiest mama of them all! Advance tickets: £15

CECILIA STALIN "Coltrane Away"
featuring TONI KOFI (Macy Gray's favourite sax man!) ESBEN TJALVE (BBC composer) on the keyboard, BEN HAZELTON on bass with the late Gil Scott Heron's drummer ROD YOUNGS.
Talented teenage jazzers "HARRY & FRIENDS" from Sudbury provide the support spot.
We welcome the gorgeous talented Swedish chanteuse CECILIA STALIN for her 1st ever gig in East Anglia!
Cecila is particularly notable for her lyrics and work on the music of John Coltrane – an ambitious project for a singer which was encouraged by Reggie Workman whilst working with him in New York.
This International vocalist has been much in demand from her work with Scandinavian nu-jazz duo "Koop" to Max Factor adverts and a soundtrack for Woody Allen’s film "Match Point".

The Collective is on a mission to present jazz, blues & soul in a friendly, upbeat & welcoming atmosphere - just how live music is served in South America & the basement joints of inner city USA.
At the start of the event we serve a scrumptious semi organic menu using as much locval produce as we can. The food is linked to the music, the artists or themed event.
