Young children are catered for with the Kubz Karting circuit, suitable for 5-7 year olds.

Mannings Amusement Park, Felixstowe provides families with traditional seaside amusements – and everyone knows a traditional day at the seaside in the UK has to include the odd downpour or two! Poplar Farm Stables, Hundon, provide Horse Riding and Carriage Driving lessons, plus Pony Days for children, all in the comfort of their lovely indoor arena! The activities are suitable for all ages, families, and all levels of experience - from first-timers to advanced learners.

At Carter's Teapots, Debenham, the whole family can watch teapots being made in the pottery and then paint your own teapot! It will be glazed & fired for you, and you can return after a few days to collect your creation, or have it posted to you.

An equally exciting adventure in the rain can be found at Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park, Lowestoft. The park offers an enormous selection of exhilarating rides for all ages. After having a go on wild-water, white-knuckle rides such as Timber Falls or The Wave Breaker - where riders are launched over a huge drop followed by a very wet landing - you’ll be so soaked that you won’t even notice that it’s raining!

Take the kids along to Felixstowe Leisure Centre, where they provide a range of indoor activities for all ages and capabilities, including an indoor swimming pool, which is particularly popular with families. There is also a cafe where you may stop for a spot of lunch. For an educational day out, why not take the kids along to one of the many Suffolk Museums. You might even learn something new yourself!

For a wonderfully traditional rainy day out at the seaside take a trip to Southwold Pier.
