A long time ago a young Dick Whittington arrives in London to make his fame and fortune. At first all goes well. He makes friends with a cat called Tommy, gets a job with a merchant and falls in love with a girl. But there are wicked forces at play. This is an adventure story like none other filled with injustice, love at first sight, shipwrecks, singing jellyfish and a trip to Morocco.

The Wizard Of Oz
17-23 December
A spectacular all new professional pantomime version of the classic story featuring the star of BBC TV’s Tracy Beaker, actress Dani Harmer as Dorothy, Ken Morley (main picture, Reg Holdsworth from Coronation Street) as The Wizard, the hilarious ventriloquist Gareth Oliver (Britain’s Got Talent) as the Scarecrow, Matthew McVarish (Raymond from CBeebies ‘Me Too!’) as the Lion, and Aaron Sidwell (Steven Beale from EastEnders) as the Wicked Witch’s Henchman. Follow Kansas farm-girl Dorothy and her pet dog Toto on this magical adventure, as they are picked up by a tornado and carried off to the magical Land of Oz. With help from their new friends the Munchkins, they to travel to the Emerald City where the great Wizard of Oz lives.

The Dennis Lowe Theatre Company pantomimes have been a traditional part of Christmas in Felixstowe for 46 years and this year’s tale of fantasy is a long-time favourite with audiences. Mother Goose has all the ingredients for a magic, fantasy-filled family show – hilarious characters, a giant goose, an outrageous Dame and of course an evil baddie you’ll just love to hiss and boo!
