Lindsay House Restaurant is a family run restaurant providing an eclectic menu in an informal, friendly atmosphere.
At Lindsay House, we like to use the best of local, seasonal produce, so - now that warmer weather has arrived- we are making the most of those special seasonal favourites!
Our popular Fresh Grilled Lobster with Chips & Salad(£18.50) is now back at weekends (as available-but you can reserve one in advance!)
Fresh Cromer Crab (£6.95) is also now regularly on our Chef's Special Selection.
For those who still hanker for game flavours, we have Local Rabbit casseroled with Port & Pearl Barley (£13.95) or Venison & Wild Funghi Pie (£14.50). Smoked Chicken potted with Cashew Nuts & Cranberries (£5.95) is a unique entree for cooler days, and light Crispy Duck Salad (£6.75/£11.95) is popular as an entree or light lunch. For lighter meat lovers we have succulent medallions of local Pork Fillet with Marsala, Tomato & Basil (£14.50).
For vegetarian eaters, fresh coriander Falafels with Spring Salad & Ginger, Honey & Sesame Sauce is a light but substantial meal (£10.25). Locally-grown baby gem squash, stuffed with tangy puy lentils, and topped with Mozzerella is also available as a starter or main course (£5.50/£10.50)
Crayfish Risotto, with saffron and sun-blushed tomatoes is both light and comforting (£12.75). and for those who enjoy exotic flavours, filleted Seabass is stuffed with Thai herbs & spices, and baked in banana leaf (£15.95)
From our 'chef's selection', recent suggestions included such delights as Baked Lemon Sole with Crab & Ancovy Butter (£10.25), Fillet Steak Chasseur (£18.50). & Pork & Suffolk Cider Pie (10.25)
Why not bring the family for our traditional roast of locally-reared beef on Sunday Lunch (£7.95)? Child sizes available!
All our dishes are prepared in-house - including tempting desserts such as Sticky Date Pudding with Toffee Sauce and 'Cappucchino Ice' - Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with Coffee Liqueur.
Of course, we also now have a regular supply of Suffolk Raspberries with Cream - real flavour!
Our a la carte menu and daily specials are served
evenings from Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday and Friday, Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes.
We also offer a Mid-week set menu on Wednesday & Thursday evenings at £11.95 for 2 courses, or £14.95 for 3 courses. e.g:
