The Westleton Crown

The Westleton Crown, set on the Suffolk Heritage Coast between Southwold and Aldeburgh (two great seaside towns to visit during your stay), is a traditional Suffolk inn with the added sophistication and comforts of contemporary living. For families they have two exceptionally spacious suites, each one being set over two floors, with a sofa bed in the lounge for the kids and an en suite bathroom upstairs with the bedroom.


For another seaside break, try The Anchor at Walbersick, close to the beach and home to it's very own Summer Crabbing competition! The Anchor welcomes children and dogs and it boasts a great garden and terrace with rooms and cedar clad chalets with family rooms. Field End B&B, Leiston, is fully prepared for families with its Family Room being located directly above the lounge/dining room area which is equipped with a baby-monitor. Well behaved children from the age of 6 months and up are welcome, and a high chair & camping cot are available. The family room has one double and one single bed with space for a quality Z bed or cot for children. Children under 12 years are charged half the single price when sharing other rooms with an adult.

Located just off the A12 and only a few miles away from the beach at Dunwich and the famous coastal town of Southwold, this is a great location for a fun packed stay near the coast.




Enjoy a slice of rural luxury at Woodfarm Barns. Perfect for bigger families, the large thatched 500 year old farmhouse sleeps seven and the six Suffolk barns sleep two each and all are dog-Friendly, with full enclosed, private gardens. Fully equipped for family dining, Woodfarm House features a large kitchen with a big range and an even bigger table plus a spacious sitting room with inglenook fireplace, and a large dining room. There are three bathrooms, plus a fenced and sunny kitchen garden, BBQ area and a fun wooded area for kids to enjoy. Travel Cots, High Chairs, pushbikes and hundreds of DVD's, CD's and Books are all available free of charge. Situated just outside the lovely village of Stonham Aspall, Woodfarm Barns are well situated for exploring the nearby coasts or heading inland.


Swilland Mill is a Victorian Grade II listed building which has been beautifully converted into three luxury, 5 star holiday homes. Booked together, this provides accommodation for up to 16 people. Or separately each house offers lots of features to keep the children and adults happy including; large flat screen televisions, DVD & Full Sky packages, Nintendo Wii games console, free WIFI internet, well equipped kitchens with range ovens, outdoor hot tubs, wood burning stoves, oil fired central heating and baby friendly facilities. Set in rural Suffolk, it offers a perfect family escape.

Camping makes for a great family holiday, especially if you are all fans of the great outdoors, or are on a budget. Another great outdoors-y option is caravanning. Caravan parks in Suffolk are the place for you if your ideal holiday setting is all about fresh air and independence. Both camping and caravanning are fantastic value – and a fun experience for children. Due to the county's coastline and pretty country locations, Suffolk boasts the finest campsites and caravan parks in the UK.

Polstead Campsite boasts some excellent facilities including a children's play area and they are a dog friendly. The rural location just outside the village of Polstead, makes for an excellent opportunity to explore the local countryside on foot or by cycle. And there are several villages and towns with child friendly pubs and restaurants nearby.


If the kids like action packed then a stay at Broadland Sands is definitely for you! Great for young and older children alike, this lively park close to the coast features a heated outdoor pool with flume and paddling pool, regular live entertainment, Sports bar and snooker lounge, Restaurant and Takeaway, Kid’s Club and outdoor play area and Crazy golf and tennis courts. That should keep them busy.


Another excellent choice is Kessingland Beach Holiday Park located directly opposite the sandy beach, between Lowestoft and Southwold. There's an outdoor pool in the summer, or for those not so brave a spa bath or indoor pool. You can choose from a range of caravans, chalets, lodges or camping and touring pitches and there are dog friendly options too. There's heaps of entertainment from bingo for the grown ups to discos and live shows for the children.


This lovely rural campsite, just near Woodbridge has 45 spacious pitches and is family and dog friendly. Perfect for outdoorsy families, it is part of a working smallholding with rare breed sheep, pigs, alpacas, ducks, chickens and turkeys and families are welcome to come along when the animals are fed everyday and eggs collected. There are plenty of facilities on site and a play area and pub within walking distance. The site is also well positioned for exploring the local area with Woodbridge a few miles inland and the coast a short drive away.
