Close by in the Yox Valley in the attractive village of Peasenhall is Valley Farm B&B, a delightfully restored 17C Grade 11 listed farmhouse. Character and history surrounds you as you tuck into a delicious Suffolk breakfast cooked on the Aga. Peasenhall is a village well worth exploring and Valley Farm is within easy walking distance of the local pub and shops so you'll be able to enjoy the best of all worlds - getting away from it all down on the farm, but not so far away from creature comforts. Shepherds Hut Peasenhall

In the grounds of Valley Farm, there is also a delightful handcrafted Shepherd's Hut offering bespoke accommodation for 2. With all the luxury of modern living including a fully equipped bathroom with shower, the hut has its own private garden, hammock, outside seating area, barbeque and woodburner. There will also be a generous welcome pack for guests including eggs from the hens at Valley Farm and a bottle of wine or prosecco chilling in the fridge. The Shepherds Hut offers unique accommodation, whilst still being in the heart of the countryside and enjoying farm life.

Oak Tree Farm B&B

Oak Tree Farm Bed and Breakfast is a Georgian Farmhouse in the attractive Suffolk Coastal village of Yoxford just a few miles from Aldeburgh, Southwold and Snape. Situated in 6 acres of stunning countryside this dog friendly B&B is a fantastic base to explore the local area, which includes RSPB Minsmere a few miles away, as well as Aldeburgh Music and the local beaches. College Farm, Hintlesham, is a 15th Century Grade 2 Listed Farmhouse that is rich is history - it was built around 1470, and was owned by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey during the reign of King Henry VIII. Now a B&B accommodation, the building retains plenty of its old world character and charm. Located on an arable farm west of Ipswich, guests are invited to stay in the farmhouse or the adjacent converted stables. All rooms are luxurious, and come complete with special extras such as fresh flowers, sweets & chocolates, toiletries, sewing kit and magazines.

Valley Farmhouse B&B, Westhall

For a truly unique farmhouse stay, why not try the Valley Farmhouse B&B in Westhall, near Halesworth which is part of a Grade II* listed Suffolk Farmhouse. The house is beamed throughout with glorious views. The farm has its own rare breed meats and eggs straight from the chickens each morning. North Manor Farmhouse B&B, Bramfield, is a fantastic option for those of you who love period properties. Dating back to 1402, you will discover a number of original features, such as huge exposed beams and fine oak panelling. Generous breakfasts are served each morning, and the family also own the North Manor Equestrian Centre which is close by and offers riding lessons (pre-booked).

Mollett's Farm
Molletts Farm offer both self catering facilities in their brand new studio and cottage apartments, as well as a Caravan Club Certified Location for up to 5 caravans. So take your pick! Located close the the Suffolk Coast just off the A12 near Saxmundham, this is a small working farm dating back to the 17C. You'll find plenty to see in the area, and Molletts is dog friendly too, so whether you decide to bring your caravan or check into their new self catering facilities, mutley can come too!

Camping and Caravanning on Suffolk Farms

A farm stay is also great fun when camping or caravanning in Suffolk. Some options for your visit include - -


Shottisham Campsite near Woodbridge offers 45 spacious pitches and a beautiful, family friendly setting. The campsite is part of a working smallholding with rare breed sheep, pigs, alpacas, ducks, chickens and turkeys. Children (and adults!) are welcome to go along every evening when the animals are fed and eggs collected. There site also has shower blocks, dishwashing areas, a sceptic emptying point, waste and recycling bins and a fridge-freezer. Campfires are allowed (in firepits - which you can hire). Dogs on secure leads are welcome and there is a well stocked shop selling sausages, bacon and eggs from the campsites very own free-range heritage pigs and poultry, as well as home-made preserves from their vegetables and fruit. There is a lovely village pub and play area within walking distance and you are a just a few miles away from the coast.

Haw Wood Farm


Haw Wood Farm Caravan and Camping Park, Southwold - a rural, family-orientated campsite with spacious pitches that allow you to stretch out & relax, and based just a stone's throw from RSPB Minsmere and a ‘pay and play’ golf course. Fantastic play area on site, complete with zip line that the kids adore. Award winning toilet and shower block and a well stocked shop and cafe open during the summer.

Clockhouse Farm Caravan Park, Sudbury - a quiet, peaceful campsite enclosed by meadows and trees with views overlooking the Stour Valley
