Dangerous Adventures for Dads Weekend at Jimmy's Farm
Come to Jimmy’s Farm for a dangerous adventure with your Dad this Father’s Day Weekend. Is your Dad as brave as you? Come and test him to the limit with:
- Mini beast hunting
- Dads’ assault course
- Snake and reptile handling
- Den building
- Craft skills
- Pond dipping
- Animal petting + feeding
And to show we love Dads there’s free beer tasting and sausage tasting if they survive their adventure! Event starts at 9.30am. Price is normal Nature Trail entry.
Lunch and refreshments all available at the farm, so make a day of it.
Jimmy said about the event, “I am a great fan of the wonderful Dangerous Book for Boys, so we want to try and recreate some of that good old fashioned adventure-based fun for all the Dads and kids out there!”.

Spectacular Champagne and Sabrage Evening on Sunday 21st June 2009 at Hintlesham Hall Hotel, Ipswich
Imagine a warm summer’s evening, a champagne reception on the terrace and the unique opportunity to watch champagne corks flying through the air after the sabre makes contact with the top of the bottle in just the right spot. The magnificent display of the ceremony, the colourful costumes of The Order and the pure theatre of this spectacle. A magnificent sight: this is ‘The Art of Sabrage’.

The evening will continue with a very special 4-course Gourmet Dinner prepared by Head Chef, Alan Ford and his team. The dishes have been chosen to complement the outstanding champagnes and fine wines that will be served with each course.
There are now over 1200 Sabreurs in the UK and if you wish you could be trained, use the Sabre and become a member of ‘The Confrérie du Sabre d’Or’* on the night. Come and join us to celebrate our membership of such a prestigious organisation. I can’t guarantee the weather but I do guarantee that you will have a magnificent and enjoyable evening full of very special memories. A vos sabres !
The evening will commence at 7.00 p.m. – Dress: Black Tie. Ladies know best
