Old Hall Farm Cottages

Holiday Barn Accommodation. Old Hall Farm is set in 80 acres of grazing meadows in the beautiful Blyth Valley and has been the Winter family home for more than three generations.

A short walk from the pretty village of Walpole, we are just two miles outside the thriving market town of Halesworth, which provides an ideal base for exploring Suffolk and the world-renowned Heritage Coast, encompassing Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh. Just eight miles from the Norfolk border, we are also just a short journey from Beccles and the gateway to the Broads.

Old Hall has a long history as a dairy farm and the Friesian herd can still be seen grazing in the surrounding meadows even though we no longer supply milk. Instead the Farm's historic barns and outbuildings have been sensitively renovated to provide ‘home from home’ holidays – adding those little touches and luxuries so that every member of the family can relax and enjoy themselves during their stay in this magical part of Suffolk.

Our beautiful self-catering cottage accommodation retains all of its 18th century charm and character with beamed ceilings, open brick fireplaces, tiled floors and traditional features, with the added benefits of modern day comforts and facilities. If lounging around in your own vaulted barn conversion sounds too relaxing, then Old Hall also boasts an indoor heated swimming pool (between Easter and October half term), stables, and a separate Games Barn with table tennis, giant draughts, a pool table and an indoor astro-turf pitch for football, hockey or tennis. In-house catering, babysitting and beauty treatments can all be organised by prior arrangement.

The Barns
We have three converted barns, two sleep 6 and the third sleeps 3+1. All are beautifully converted, retaining traditional charm, yet comfortable and spacious too. We can accommodate wheelchair access with a wet room and ground floor bedroom in one of the barns, and guests find the additional facilities that we have - swimming pool, Play barn, astro football field etc ideal for family get togethers regardless of the weather! There is also lots to do locally so there really is something for everyone.
