Take a look at our "Have a go" Sailing Sessions for potential new members which will be running from May-September.
St Edmundsbury Sailing and Canoeing Association (SESCA) is a small, family orientated watersports club based at Lackford Lake, 5 miles NW of Bury St Edmunds.
The Club runs on-water events from the last weekend in March until early November. Dinghy racing is organised on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays with pursuit races being held on Thursday evenings throughout the summer. The Club also runs RYA (Royal Yachting Association) sailing courses and coaching sessions for members. A mixed fleet of dinghies is available for hire to Club members, so it is not necessary to own your own boat if you want to sail.
The Club hosts a number of other sailing organisations including: the Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket and Mildenhall Sea Cadets; YPA (Young People Afloat); WASH Sailability; Culford and Priory Schools.
Whether you are interested in dinghy sailing (pottering or racing), canoeing, windsurfing or just like the great outdoors, you are most welcome to visit the Club to see what we have to offer.
Family membership £72 pa; Adult Membership £62 and Junior Membership (14-17) £25 pa.
Please note that no dogs are permitted on site as the Club is in a nature reserve.
