Scutchers is an award winning restaurant established in 1991 situated in the picturesque village of Long Melford, Suffolk. We have been awarded several Good Food Guide Awards as well as the Michelin Bib Gourmand.

30 grams of Grade 1 Caviar - farmed Sturgeon Caviar, with diced onion, sour cream and toast

Country Pate - pork and chicken liver pate with home made piccalilli - toasted french bread

Goats Cheese Souffle - twice baked souffle with a red pepper relish

Mains
Confit of Duck Gressingham duck leg with garlic sausage, flageolets in a thyme gravy

Fillet of Beef pan fried with a rosti and a soft green pepper sauce

Fillet of Plaice grilled with a herby crust on a prawn risotto and a chive butter sauce

Fillet of Turbot grilled on a rosti with a tartar butter sauce

For Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries and other special occasions we will provide Marquees, Flowers, Decorations, Special Themes and arrange the music if you wish. In fact Scutchers experienced team are able to advise you on, and provide, any aspect of your special event.

We can also arrange your special occasion at a location of your choice.

How Big an Occasion?
Up to three hundred people; the Scutchers team have found from experience that it is difficult to maintain personal attention and standards with more than this number.

How Small an Occasion?
Rarely less than fifty people because the economics do not make for a realistic price to either party.
