Steve is widely recognised within the world of folk and contemporary music for the poetry of his words, his distinctive voice, masterful arrangements, and superb guitar playing. One of our most celebrated songsmiths, Steve was awarded BBC2 Folk Awards Best Original Song 2012, and named Male Vocalist of the Year 2015 in the FATEA awards. We are very pleased to welcome him back to the Everyman.

Dendende-Sunshine Music with the Anna Mudeka Band

The Anna Mudeka Band presents Dendende a tour celebrating their recently released 12 track album.

Packed with melodies and rhythms that speak to all generations and nationalities, this is a show full of truly global sounds rocky, funk, reggae and African all at the same time. With songs in Swahili, Hindi and Shona, Anna Mudeka takes centre stage with her mbira playing while conga beat and six string bass underpin Zimbabwean rhythm.

Mudeka has previously performed at Latitude Festival, Drum Camp and Womad and has quite a following so we really hope that you can come along and join in the sounds of Sunshine Music. Toe-tapping and clapping will be unavoidable and dancing is positively encouraged just what we need to banish any winter blues!

These extremely talented musicians are becoming renowned for their beautiful harmonies and creative new arrangements. Musical precision and spontaneity are to be expected.

We are delighted James is making a rare solo appearance. He visited previously with the late Ralph Jordan and John Dipper as Patterson Jordan Dipper, and still works with John. James and Ralph began performing 40-years ago as Silas, and spent nearly 10-years with the powerful and popular supergroup, Crows. Very excited that Crows are reforming and coming to the Everyman in April 2018!
