Ipswich Sympony Orchestra Concert
7.30pm
Ipswich Corn Exchange, King Street, Ipswich, IP1 1DH
A Celebration of British Music!
Ipswich Symphony Orchestra presents a musical treat on Saturday 23rd June at Ipswich Corn Exchange, with a programme featuring some of our best-loved British music, conducted by Adam Gatehouse.
The suite written by William Walton for the film of Shakespeare's Henry V is one of the finest film scores in existence and provides a fine patriotic prelude to the programme.
The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams is one of the most popular of all British classical works, and ISO welcomes the return to Ipswich of brilliant young violinist Savitri Grier to perform it.
This year marks the centenary of The Planets, a mighty work composed by Gustav Holst during the final months of the Great War. ISO will present a full symphonic line-up with over a hundred performers and a huge variety of instruments, including two harps and the fine sound of the Corn Exchange organ.
Be sure not to miss this special musical event! Tickets are on sale at www.ipswichcornexchange.com

Tickets: £14 - £15.50, concessions £13, Under 18 and full time students free
