The show encompasses everything from that period, from the clothes that were worn, to flashbacks from television history, including: TV programmes, adverts and even clips from the original bands.

The Counterfeit Sixties presents a showcase of the great bands of this unforgettable time. The fantastic music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Dave Clark Five, The Kinks and The Monkees - to name but a few - all recreated in this stunning show.

The band members have performed their unique tribute shows all over the UK and abroad, and have a wide range of experience in that field. The members of the band have individually worked with notable sixties artists such as The Searchers, The Ivy League, The Fortunes, The Tremeloes and many more.

Murston Bapchild & The Braxton Hicks - A 1950's Radio Show
8.00pm
Fisher Theatre

Come and be part of the live studio audience for a 1950s style American Radio Show performed by Murston Bapchild and The Braxton Hicks, with special guests The Delta Beltas.

Back in the Forties and early Fifties, American radio was awash with Country and Western music shows.
They were the highlight of the week for some folk, who would gather around their radio and roll back the carpet, whole families would tune in, listen and dance.
Just like the earlier Medicine Shows, these programmes were sponsored and the bands would sing or recite the advertising for them.
Murston Bapchild and The Braxton Hicks imagine themselves broadcasting one of these shows and you, the audience, have a rare incite into the proceedings.
Bob Delbridge, who takes the part of Murston Bapchild has been carrying this idea for quite a while and has assembled some of his favourite musicians together to form The Braxton Hicks.
Seonaid Matheson on fiddle, Mike Tavener on lap steel and Pete Earle on double bass accompany him, his guitar and his extra special voice.
If you want classic Country singing laced with sizzling fiddle, luscious lap steel and masterful double bass, a hint of medicine show, the occasional yodel, good fun and humour, then this is the place for you.
Come and join us as we go On The Air for our live broadcast.

Guest performers are a local trio, The Delta Beltas Tales of illicit stills, street girls, jailhouses, love and jealousy, the Delta Beltas play hokum blues and ragtime, as performed by street musicians and jug bands of Americas Deep South in the 1920s & 1930s.
The band also perform more modern songs and ballards some as recent as the 1950s.
With Alan Fulwood on the guitar and lead vocals, Tim Summerson on steel guitar, harmonica, vocals and kazoo and Anne Steel on double bass and vocals, you will be entertained with harmonious acoustic Americana music.

Requiem for a Renaissance King: A Concert for Remembrance Sunday
7.30pm
Holy Trinity Church, Long Melford

Cambridge Renaissance Voices presents Requiem for a Renaissance King, a programme of music from the courts of Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries, based around Eustache du Caurroy's famous Requiem, first performed at the funeral of Henri IV in 1610 and then subsequently at every royal funeral in France until the Revolution. Du Caurroy's magnificent setting, evoking the pomp and grandeur of the French court in mourning, will be sung alongside movements from Tomas Luis da Victoria's beautiful Missa Pro Victoria (a favourite of Philip III of Spain), and Renaissance motets to suit the theme of remembrance. The singers will be joined by period instrumentalists Il Musici della Contessa, recreating in all their fullness and splendour the acts of remembrance which brought together church and court in some of the most glorious musical works of the European Renaissance.
