Newmarket Open Day - Sunday 22 September 2013
Newmarket will once again throw open its doors to the public for one day in September when you can enjoy unique access to the day to day running of some of the world’s most successful racing stables. Newmarket is the home of The Jockey Club, The National Stud, Tattersalls Bloodstock Auctioneers and many world famous stud farms, so this is a great day out for horse lovers everywhere. And you can win 2 tickets for this unique event! See below
Watch the horses between 9 - 10am cantering on Warren Hill, with trainers providing live commentary about the horses and how they are performing.
Other events include the Shetland Pony Grand National, Scurry Driving, Mounted Games when top jockeys will go head to head. There will be plenty of children’s entertainment including pony rides.
Visitors will get the chance to meet some of Newmarket’s famous four-legged athletes as Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons, the National Horseracing Museum, the British Racing School and the National Stud will be open for the day.
Proceeds from the day will go to 3 charities - the British Racing School, The National Horseracing Museum and the New Astley Club.
Tickets: £13 in advance or £15 on the day
