Newton Green Golf Club is one of the most challenging courses in Suffolk, just east of Sudbury. There you can enjoy the tests and delights of its exceptional moorland course. Clare Park Lake Golf Course Club is a lovely, little-yet-challenging 9-hole course that runs along a picturesque lake beside the River Stour. The course and club are open to all - including experienced golfers to novices, ladies, juniors and retired people. Pay & Play is available. The Clubhouse is a great place to relax with some refreshment beofre or after the game, and is also open to visitors who are just observing.

Woodbridge Golf Club is a members only club that boasts two heathland courses - the 27 hole Heath Course and the 9 hole Forest Course, both located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Outdoor Sports in Suffolk
Water also has a wonderfully calming effect on most people, and the teamwork involved in operating a boat is a great way for friends and families to bond.

A thrilling & active day out can be had at Alton Water Sports Centre. Based in 400 acres of beautiful Suffolk countryside, the Reservoir has a highly acclaimed and long established RYA approved training centre which is the largest and most active in East Anglia. You can take part in Sailing, Rowing, Canoeing, Paddle boarding, Sculling or Windsurfing! The centre is open every day of the year, excluding Christmas Day, and is open to both members and day visitors.

On the River Stour at Flatford, Flatford Boats, East Bergholt provide the perfect summer family day out in the form of the cheapest boat hire in the UK! Their prices start at just £6 per hour and £4 per half hour. Take a rowing boat along the Stour Valley and row upstream following the river as it meanders through the water meadows towards Dedham. Once you feel you have rowed far enough, you can let the gentle river current carry you back your starting point!
