Suffolk Open Farm Sunday

Open Farm Sunday In Suffolk
On Sunday 17th June 2012 Farms throughout the UK throw open their doors to allow the public to find out what happens 'down the farm'. Open Farm Sunday is an annual event that gives everyone the chance to meet the farmers who grow their food and care for the countryside. Organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming), it benefits from generous cross-industry support.
In Suffolk we're lucky to have lots of fabulous farms producing fantastic local food for us, so we're delighted that these Farms are open to view - offering the public a great way to discover more about farmers, the countryside and how our food is produced.

The following farms in Suffolk will be opening their gates to the public on Open Farm Sunday --

LEAF's Open Farm Sunday allows people to learn about life on Britain's farms, helping to answer questions like: Where your food really comes from? What technology is used on a modern farm? How many insects and birds there are on a farm? How do farmers play a vital role in caring for the countryside?
