Suffolk Open Studios

Suffolk Open Studios is a well known and respected arts organisation run by artists for artists and art lovers. It encourages public recognition of and engagement with working artists, organises art events and supports the aims of the National Open Studios network.

It promotes the creation and appreciation of the visual arts in Suffolk through its Open Studios events in June and during the year via three exhibitions. Visitors have the chance to meet and talk to artists and see their work in the setting of their own studios.

In this very special year of both the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the London
Olympics, make sure you visit Suffolk Open Studio's Showcase Exhibition to
be held at Blackthorpe Barn, Bury St Edmunds from 26 May -4 Jun 2012 (open every day 11am – 5pm).

A must see exhibition of sculpture, painting, glasswork, jewellery and other art forms by some of Suffolk's leading artists.
Entry is free, no tickets are required.

So visit Blackthorpe Barn, Bury St Edmunds (off A14, Junction 45) where all artwork is for sale. View the artists’ work, pick up a copy of the free SOS Directory and decide which members you will visit to see how they work and what inspires them. The SOS Directory will be available in all Libraries and Tourist Information offices throughout Suffolk.
