Suffolk Wedding Guide
What is the benefit of marrying in Suffolk? Is it romantic? Extremely so. The rural idyll of Suffolk alone is compelling, and its venues for tying the knot are an experience in themselves. Marrying in Suffolk puts you at the heart of specialists in making the day of vows run to perfection. You can book a glorious suite, or an intimate room, your guests can choose from a wide variety of comfortable accommodation close by, and the staff of your chosen location for celebration will tend to every detail, leaving you floating through every moment, collecting happy memories that will last a lifetime.

For those drawn to the picturesque and romantic style, Suffolk has specialists in traditional cars and horse-drawn vehicles who are experts at precision and presentation. Florists will use their creativity and sensitivity to endow the bride, marriage venues and reception tables with your dream of floral displays. You can combine relaxing visits ahead of the day with fittings for gowns created by Suffolk's many wedding-dress designers. Suffolk is rich in artistry, and its photographers can give images breadth and subtlety, knowing the locations and unique Suffolk light so well.

The ever-increasing popularity for civil partnership is equally well catered for. Some couples like to design unusually memorable days. You choose - it’s all here.

The West Wing at Ickworth (pictured above) provides an elegant setting for Weddings and Civil Partnerships for 80 to 200 guests. The impressive Gallery on the first floor of The West Wing overlooks the beautiful Italianate Gardens, and accommodates wedding ceremonies and sumptuous wedding breakfasts for up to 200 guests. The Court is a smaller room, adjacent to The Gallery, and is available for the bride and groom to use as an extra area for a crèche or quiet room. There are marquee areas for larger wedding receptions, and The Orangery and beautiful gardens are available for reception drinks. Inclusive Wedding Packages include room hire, arrival drinks, three-course wedding breakfast with wine and champagne toast, and use of the gardens for photography. The Wedding Package also includes the services of a Toastmaster and all staffing, linen, crockery and cutlery, with the option of upgrading on wines & champagnes, canapés and coloured linen. On certain weekdays it is possible to have exclusive use of all areas of The West Wing. Please click the link above for more details.

The Bildeston Crown is located in the heart of Suffolk's picturesque countryside, close to the historic towns of Bury St. Edmunds and Ipswich. The Bildeston Crown is an original 15th century coaching Inn which has been imaginatively refurbished to restore the building without losing any of the character of its past 600 years. With a function room licensed for weddings, a fantastic honeymoon suite, an award winning chef, and catering for up to 150 people, this is a perfect all-purpose venue for that special day.

Needham Market is a graceful town with Georgian houses in the high street and the centre of this small historic town boasts excellent examples of Tudor architecture. Close by is beautiful Suffolk countryside, so too are the historic towns of Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich. Here you will find the charming Limes Hotel situated in the centre of this quaint market town. Licensed for civil ceremonies, with banqueting for up to 120 in a room with it's own bar and dance floor, and wedding cakes made to order, the Limes Hotel is sure to make your ceremony a great one.

Suffolk Wedding Guide
A 21st Century haven of comfort and friendly professionalism within a Grade 1 Listed Elizabethan Manor House, Hintlesham Hall, Luxury Hotel, near Ipswich, is to be found nestling in 175 acres of rolling Suffolk countryside.

The 16th Century building is distinguished by its Georgian additions, most notably the famous façade, and by earlier Stuart interior embellishments. Widely recognised as being one of the loveliest amongst the UK and Ireland's highest rated hotels, the Hall has 33 bedrooms and suites of varying shapes, sizes and styles enhanced by fine fabrics, works of art and antiques which abound throughout the hotel. Fully licensed with a photographer, Master of Ceremonies, floral arrangements available, and wedding cakes made to order, this venue can accommodate up to 140 guests for seated meals, or 250 for buffet style dining. In addition, Hintlesham Hall offers preferential B&B rates for wedding and civil partnership guests.

Looking for a wedding on the beautiful Suffolk coast?
The Swan Hotel in Southwold is a wonderful retreat that exudes timeless style – but still has every modern comfort. The Swan’s 42 unique bedrooms are all beautifully furnished. The peaceful drawing room is the perfect place to chat, read and relax. Catch up with friends and family over a pint of Adnams in the bar or enjoy local produce, beautifully cooked in our restaurant – which has two AA rosettes. With a full license and catering for up to 100, the Swan even offers beauty treatments for the bride to be!

Another Swan, but this one nestling in a stunning rural setting in the heart of Lavenham, The Swan at Lavenham dates back to the 15th Century when it played a key role in Lavenham's wool trade. Today it is a quintessential English country hotel and restaurant, proud of its achievement of an AA four star 81% rating and two AA Rosettes. Ancient oak beams and inglenook fireplaces blend beautifully with rich furnishings and fabrics to create the perfect ambiance for rest and relaxation. The historic Old Bar boasts a wonderful collection of memorabilia, including a wall signed by British and American airmen stationed at Lavenham Airfield during World War II.

The Swan is a wonderful place in which to celebrate a variety of special occasions, including romantic weddings, christenings and family get-togethers. The Swan offers a full package of wedding assistance, with floral arrangements, wedding cakes made to order, a Master of Ceremonies available, and a Honeymoon Suite for after the big event.

Simple style? Catered for, as extensively. So whether you are planning to say your vows afresh to your loved one, or saying them for the first time, there is guidance and assistance at hand in all matters of marrying in Suffolk.
