Suffolk Young Strings (SYS) will take you on a journey through time as they perform a variety of music from the 16th - 20th centuries. Enjoy Susato ''Renaissance Dances'', Vivaldi ''Four Seasons'', Mozart ''Minuet'', Faure ''Pavane'', Piazzolla ''Two Tangos'', and more!
Aged between 12-16 years old, the talented members of SYS enjoy performing a range of repertoire for string orchestra and chamber ensemble. SYS is part of Suffolk County Music Service's County Ensemble programme for Suffolk's most able, gifted, and talented young musicians. Free parking.

A Summer day cycling around the beautiful heathland, fields and coast of the Suffolk countryside. This is a Charity Bike Ride in aid of The Down’s Syndrome Association who is dedicated to helping people with Down’s syndrome (DS) live full and rewarding lives by providing information and support, improving knowledge of the condition and championing the rights of people with DS. Starting and finishing at the elegant Elizabethan mansion of Glemham Hall next to the A12, there’s a choice of two scenic routes of 35 & 60 miles. Spend a day at Easton Farm Park this summer. Meet lots of farm animals including pigs, goats and chickens, have a ride on a pony or the tractor train. Visit the indoor soft play areas or get stuck into the outdoor adventure playground. Have a wander around the Damp Wood for more wildlife spotting then back to the Barmy Barn for lunch!

A great opportunity to spend the day in our woodland base camp with experienced bushcraft tutor John Stewart. Learn everything there is to know about fire lighting: good locations, finding and using the right wood and natural materials...getting a spark and how to keep a good fire going. Bring some simple food to cook and then use the wooden spoon you've made to try to eat it! You will get to take home the spoons you've made and your own natural fire-lighting kit.
Please wear suitable clothing for the weather and bring sunscreen. Bring a suitable sharp knife if you have one. Bring your lunch and drinks...there will be a chance to cook your own simple food in the fire pit, so bring a pan for your sausages too!
Suitable for ages 12+ and all under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult.
