The Thornham Coach House is a family run café and restaurant whose aim is to provide freshly made food and home cooked meals using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
We pride ourselves in providing good food at excellent value with friendly service and a charming venue as standard! The staff at Thornham Coach House are courteous, friendly and attentive. We are sure you will find our hospitality warm and inviting!
Our home cooked meals, mostly traditional and hand prepared, are hearty in portion and excellent in value. We would like you to dine at ours not only for the occasional meal out but also when cooking is not on the day’s agenda!
We always prefer to use locally supplied ingredients – most of our wines, beers and ciders have regional origins, as are our sandwich meats and ice creams. We have been impressed with a plethora of great local produce and have them on sale in a deli corner within our restaurant – come and have a browse! The restaurant walls display one off artworks from local artists which are available for purchase.
The café and restaurant occupies Thornham Hall’s old coach house which was converted to a dining venue in 2001. Some old world charms have been sympathetically retained – the original tram lined pammet floor, pitch pine beams throughout and vaulted lime washed ceiling. The south facing wall of the restaurant is adorned with glazed doors leading to a spacious courtyard with tables and seating for al fresco meals during the warmer months. We have several resident peacocks which frequent our courtyard so keep an eye out for them!
We would be happy to offer our facility on other week days subject to pre-booking.Forthcoming events
