Description

Set in the beautiful rolling Suffolk countryside, The Star Inn is a cosy village pub in Wenhaston, located between the Coast and the market town of Halesworth.

Our simple home cooking, using local ingredients such as Suffolk Red Poll Beef that is reared in the village, make The Star a popular choice with locals and visitors alike.

The pub has open fires to warm your bones in the winter and a good selection of traditional bar games, the large garden has a boules pitch to enjoy in the summer. For those visiting the area, camping is available at The Star by prior arrangement.

OUR FOOD
We pride ourselves on our great home cooked food and have some delicious menus to offer you on your visit to The Star Inn at Wenhaston. The dining room is decorated with pictures by local artists and local arts and crafts are displayed and sold here.

For an example of the delights we have to offer please see our website link above for our current, seasonal menu for lunch and dinner.
* We also offer Sunday Roasts and our kitchen is open lunchtimes and evenings. For that extra special touch, we even sell local honey over the bar!

OUR DRINKS RANGE
At The Wenhaston Star Inn, we offer a wide selection of drinks including the famous local Adnams Bitter, brewed down the road at Southwold. In the Winter you can snuggle by our log fire with a fine wine, and in the Summer you can enjoy a pint of beer in our beautiful garden overlooking the Blyth Valley.

Please note we usually have a selection of 3 “real ales” two lagers, Mild, Guinness, Aspalls Cyder.

We also offer an extensive Wine List - please see our website (link above) for full details.

OUR EVENTS
At The Star Inn we regularly entertain our guests with live music. To find out what's coming up just take a look at our website.

We also have the ability to host private events.

Outside bars and catering can be arranged upon request as well as having marquees erected in the garden.

We are hosts to many local clubs such as Royal British Legion, Wenhaston Gardners Club, Wenhaston Book Club and Wenhaston DVD Club.

Travel
The Star is on the bus route that connects Southwold, Halesworth and Lowestoft, so it’s possible to take a tour of the countryside and coast, enjoy an interlude at The Star and not have to worry about driving.

You'll find that we are ideally situated close to the coast - Southwold, Walberswich and Dunwich; close to the vibrant market town of Halesworth with train links to London and Lowestoft; and close to many local attractions such as RSPB Minsmere, Latitude Festival and Blythburgh Church.
