Bed & Breakfast accommodation in the heart of Suffolk
Hillbrow Farm is situated in the village of Witnesham, in the rural county of Suffolk. Despite being only 5 miles from Ipswich town centre, it is in a very quiet rural location. We are within easy reach of Ipswich, Woodbridge, Wickham Market, Needham Market, Stowmarket and Felixstowe.
Rooms
The Studio
We offer bed & breakfast in our large and light first floor Studio Room, which boasts a king size bed and an en-suite shower room. There is a balcony from which the sunrise can be viewed, or an evening drink enjoyed.
The centrally heated room has its own entrance and direct access to the Breakfast Room, which is available on the ground floor.
Drink making facilities are available in the sitting area where there is a television. We can provide a single bed in the room for an additional person if required.
This building was originally a brick barn, Giles converted it into his studio when he bought the farm, it was later made into a bedroom and a bathroom was added.
Ground Floor Room
Our Ground floor room has its own private access, just a few yards walk from the Breakfast room. The room is centrally heated and has two large double glazed windows which look out over old Suffolk farm buildings, one of which housed the Suffolk Punch horses.
The accommodation comprises a comfortable king size bed with en-suite shower room. There are drinks making facilities and a digital television to make your stay more enjoyable. The ground level access would accommodate a person with some mobility difficulties, but there are 3 steps into the shower room.
Breakfast Menu
Hillbrow Farm Breakfast is legendary - A full English breakfast is offered, which comprises Suffolk sausages and bacon which is bred and cured locally.
Suffolk 'Blackuns' are available on request; this bacon is cured to a traditional recipe containing mollasses and is produced by Neaves of Debenham. (Recommended by Rick Stein).
A lighter meal can be provided if preferred. We will do our best to comply with any dietary requirements. Guests with particular requirements - vegetarian, intolerances, special teas, decaffeinated coffee or tea etc. are encouraged to let us know at the time of booking, so that we can accommodate their particular needs.
All of our jams and marmalades are home made, using fruits from our own land (apart from the oranges).
The eggs are collected daily from our own hens (when in season). We provide tomatoes from our greenhouse in the summer.
The orange juice is freshly squeezed. All food is locally sourced.
We serve breakfast at times to suit guests (up to 9:30am)
