Established just over a year ago, Eat Anglia has already been described as a new style of rural delicatessen/cafe and one that produces and sells some of the finest foods available. Eat Anglia has recently been taken over by Maria Santos, proprietor of MS Catering, who aims to build on the excellent reputation built up by the previous owners, Patrick and Sarah Bishopp, by offering an increased range of high quality produce and home-prepared ready meals.
It has already been described as a new style of delicatessen and one that produces and sells some ofthe finest foods available. It is where customers can buy locally produced food, relax with a coffee, enjoy a freshly cooked, hot lunch or a sandwich (having selected something from the deli counter) and even surf the internet.
Eat Anglia is a successful new concept in rural delicatessen, promoting Suffolk produce and enticing customers with modern décor that includes locally made oak floors and tables and a deep, soft sofa to relax for a few minutes and soak up the impressive range of produce.
With its many hats it could be a delicatessen, a café, an off licence, a card shop, or for some local residents, a village store stocking all of the essentials.
70% of the shop's produce comprises locally farmed foods or Suffolk made produce including locally farmed meats, dairy and cheeses, smoked fish, chutneys and sauces, organic and non organic breads, even beers, with the Earl Soham brewery handily next door. Other produce is specially selected from small local producers in areas such as Yorkshire and Cornwall and wines from a small Rhone Valley vineyard.
Eat Anglia is also renowned for its range of all year round Gift Hampers, freshly prepared Pre Ordered Picnics and their Holiday Let Food Starter Packs.
