Beacon Rally Karts, near Woodbridge, is also a fantastic place for five to six-year-old thrill-seekers to have fun at the outdoor circuits.

One of East Anglia’s most highly praised Elizabethan homes, Melford Hall, was Beatrix Potter’s favourite holiday spot where she used to sketch. A room in Melford Hall is dedicated to a variety of Potter memorabilia and further houses the original Jemima Puddleduck doll. Melford Hall plays host to numerous Treasure Hunts, Teddy Bear’s Picnics, Fun Days, and so much more for kids especially. Jimmy’s Farm in Ipswich is the perfect spot for a fun-filled day out with the family. Here, you can enjoy the Farm and Nature Trail and get some intel on pig keeping, farming, and nature in general. Ipswich’s Suffolk Wildlife Trust offers more than fifty free nature reserves and a massive variety of wildlife events that make for a memorable family day out.

Nothing keeps young kiddos amused quite like trains do. The younger members of your family can enjoy a day of enchantment, learning more about engines. Suffolk boasts numerous wonderful attractions that will keep every family member entertained, from the ardent train enthusiasts to the smallest children.

Visit Colne Valley Railway at Castle Hedingham to discover a real English gem. This site welcomes the public on weekends and throughout all school holidays. Here, children and parents alike will love to experience old steam trains, the garden railway, and the still-functioning signal box first-hand. The site also offers a farm park where you can soak up the sun.
