Kentwell Hall
Kentwell Hall
Kentwell Hall
It’s been a much-lived-in and much-loved family home for over 500 years, rather than a stately house.
This house has been the focus of a 35-year effort to preserve it, restore its gardens, and create a traditional-style farm with rare breeds, such as Norfolk Horn Sheep, the Suffolk Punch (horse), and British White Cattle.
Kentwell Hall’s gardens are an organic combination of old architecture, landscaping, and planting. The main lawns include a HA HA, as well as a maze of lavender, a variety of herbs and potages, and a wildlife pond in addition to over 60 types of apple and pear trees.
The sight of the ancient Yew trees and the modern ‘Pied Piper’ hedge at Kentwell Hall is not to be missed.
Throughout the year, Kentwell Hall hosts a variety of events, including Tudor reenactment weeks, Kentwell Through the Ages, Magical Weekends, and Scaresville, an award-winning outdoor haunted house extravaganza.
There is so much to see and do at a fantastic venue, and the whole family will enjoy it.
Lunch and refreshments can be enjoyed at the Stable Yard Tea Rooms.
