The Amber Shop

The Amber Museum is the only purpose built museum in Great Britain to tell the story and history of Amber. Designed and created by Robin and Astrid Fournel, the museum features beautiful carvings and artefacts from around the world.

The Amber Shop is Great Britain's oldest and largest specialist, with an extensive range of both contemporary and traditional jewellery.

For over 100 years our two shops, which are situated on the East Coast of England, have been cutting, polishing and shaping the local amber, which is found uniquely in England on this particular coastline. Being such large dealers we also deal in Baltic and Dominican Republic amber.

Robin has, for many years, been giving talks on Amber and through these talks he has learned the questions people wish to ask and with this in mind, the Amber Museum addresses these questions.

Opening hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Saturday and 11.00am to 4.00pm Sundays and Bank Holidays
Admission is FREE.
