College Farm, Hintlesham, is a 15th Century Grade 2 Listed farmhouse that is rich in history. King Henry VIII ruled during Thomas Wolsey’s time as owner, and the building was constructed around 1470. The building, which is now a B&B, still retains a lot of its old-time character and allure. Guests may stay in the farmhouse or the adjacent converted stables, which are located on a grain farm to the west of Ipswich. All of the rooms are equipped with unique amenities like fresh flowers, candies, toiletries, sewing kits, and reading material.

There are 45 spacious pitches at Shottisham Campsite near Woodbridge, as well as a lovely family-friendly area. The working smallholding includes pigs, sheep, ducks, alpacas, turkeys, and chickens. Their facility also offers shower blocks, washing-up areas, rubbish bins, waste and recycling bins, a refrigerator freezer, and cosy firepits. Sausages, bacon, and eggs are available for purchase at the camp store, as are homemade fruit and vegetable preserves. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on leashes. There is a pub and playground just down the road, and you will be close to the seashore.

Haw Wood Farm Caravan and Camping Park, Southwold – Located right next to RSPB Minsmere and a pay-and-play golf course, this family-oriented campground has spacious pitches where you can relax and stretch out. The toilet and shower block, which has won awards, is open during the summer and has a well-stocked shop and cafe. The children adore the play area, which has a zip line.

Clockhouse Farm Caravan Park, Sudbury – set amongst meadows and trees, this peaceful campsite has views of the Stour Valley.
