Things To Do on Your Thorpeness Holiday
The village of Thorpeness Meare is undoubtedly its biggest draw. Peter Pan, a fictional realm from J.M Barrie’s renowned children’s novel, was created here in Suffolk to resemble the adventurous, fantastical world of Neverland.
From April to October, this artificial lake offers a wide range of recreational activities, including canoeing, rowing, and kayaking. During the main holiday season, tea, coffee, and snacks are served at Thorpeness Meare’s lakeside teahouse. It’s a nice place to wander around and sit on the waterfront benches.
The Dolphin Inn, a terrific local pub near Thorpeness, is the place to dine on excellent food and drink. In the summertime, it has a big garden where you can dine al fresco or just have a refreshing drink in the warming sun.
