Carlton Meres Holiday Park

Park Holidays’ Carlton Meres resort is another Suffolk holiday park that is situated a little inland but still has so many wonderful things to offer if having beach access is not your main priority.

It’s not right on the coast, but you can get there in about 20 minutes by car, and some of the more expensive camping pitches overlook a lake. There are both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a restaurant, an amusement arcade, a gym, fishing, and evening entertainment at the park. The swimming pools are simple rather than the typical noisy and splashy swimming pool you may encounter at some holiday parks.

The less expensive accommodations are two or three-room mobile homes, or you may choose from two-room holiday homes, which are considerably more spacious and serve as the ideal location for short breaks to the great outdoors.

Broadland Sands Holiday Park

Park Holidays, which is a large chain with around 40 family-friendly vacation spots in Southern and Eastern England, operates Broadland Sands Family Holiday Park.

Broadland Sands is unlike other popular holiday destinations in that it perfectly combines the excitement of family fun in a holiday park with the peace and silence of the coast of Lowestoft. Most review sites award it a solid score of 4/5, and it includes a large indoor swimming pool with a flume, minigolf, a playground, tennis, food establishments, and many other outdoor sports.

The best thing about it is definitely its proximity to a sandy beach, as you may have guessed from the name.

Pakefield Holiday Park

The prime location of Pakefield Holiday Park on the picturesque sunrise coast of Lowestoft offers panoramic sea vistas and direct access to a sand and shingle beach.

The park provides wonderful services such as a heated outdoor pool, a family restaurant and bar, children’s play areas, and live evening entertainment.

There are many destinations to discover from the park in Pakefield, including Pleasurewood Hills theme park, Belle Vue Park, Africa Alive, Nicholas Everett Park with Pets Corner, Oulton Broad, and three exquisite Blue Flag beaches.

The family-friendly seaside town of Southwold can be reached in around 20 minutes from this holiday park. Southwold is noted for its vivid display of beach huts – a delightful day out on the shore. Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, two of Britain’s classic coastal destinations, are even closer.

Kessingland Beach Holiday Park

Parkdean Resorts is a significant caravan park company that manages Kessingland Beach Holiday Park. They currently operate nearly 70 holiday parks across the UK, mostly on the Suffolk Coast, as a result of a merger with Park Resorts a few years ago.

Despite falling into the lower end of the price range when it comes to Suffolk holiday parks, Parkdean Resorts Holiday Parks still achieve outstanding reviews from visitors. Kessingland Beach Holiday Park received a score of four out of five on TripAdvisor and an even higher score on Google Reviews.

The Park has both a heated indoor pool and an outdoor pool. Parents can watch their kids splash and have fun on the playground from the restaurant and grab a snack from the onsite shop located a short walk from the entertainment area when the day comes to an end. Lowestoft is just a short drive away, so visitors can enjoy all the local attractions found here.
