Self Catering Accommodation

The one-bedroom Cart Lodge is suitable for disabled people. All on ground level, the cottage is wheelchair friendly with a large wheel-in shower room, entrance ramp and shallow steps to the rear terrace. There is also a two-bedroom Hayloft, four-bedroom Victorian Farmhouse, two fully equipped Shepherd Huts and a further cottage at White House Farm. Offering 3 self-catering Studios with “universal access”, at Mollett’s Farm, you’ll find level access from the car park to the front door; wide entrance and internal doors; level thresholds; wet rooms in each Studio with level-access showers and fixed seats; numerous grab-rails and other Part M recommended features; fully illuminated bathroom mirror for those with visual impairments; lowered kitchen surfaces; wheelchair-compatible furniture and turning circles throughout; as well as switches, sockets and controls at heights accessible to all. Additionally, the three Cottage units opposite the Studios also have wide entrance doors, level thresholds, and sofa beds downstairs, so these too can accommodate guests with lower levels of mobility.

At the height of luxury and service is Hintlesham Hall Hotel, Ipswich. One ground-floor bedroom has been designed for wheelchair access and is situated in the courtyard buildings just a few yards from the main hotel. The room is fully in keeping with the character of the hotel and has a recently refurbished wet room. From the courtyard, a wheelchair can access the hotel by the restaurant entrance, which avoids any steps, and once in the hotel, there is access to all the lounges and the restaurant via ramps.
