The Battle of the Somme Centenary Tour - Suffolk Youth Orchestra

Somme100 FILM is an international project that marks the centenary of the WW1 Battle of the Somme. As part of this project, Suffolk Youth Orchestra (SYO) will be performing Laura Rossi's score to the Imperial War Museum's 1916 film ''The Battle of the Somme'' by Geoffrey Malins and J B McDowell.

Noelia Callejo, a winemaker from Spain, will present a range of wines from her vineyard in Ribera del Duero. The evening will also include our Head Chef, Lee Bye’s, three-course menu.

The timeless classic makes its way off the page and onto the stage.
Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the critically acclaimed production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, faithfully adapting four of Eric Carle’s stories. The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Jazz at the Hunter club presents Georgina Jackson with the Chris Ingham Trio.

An acclaimed singer and trumpeter, Georgina's success with her first album led her to becoming the singer with Ronnie Scott's Big Band. A vivacious, stylish vocalist, she has fronted several BBC broadcasts paying tribute to Peggy Lee with the BBC Big Band and Irving Berlin with the BBC Concert Orchestra.

Others prefer to sell their wares from a table top in the Village Hall, where you will also find home made cakes and mouth-watering refreshments. It is always a fun day which regularly attracts visitors from near and far so please do come along and enjoy the fresh air of our sleepy Suffolk village and also bag some bargains!!
