Music-lovers can look forward to a great day out this summer, as the 3rd Bury St Edmunds Folk Festival once again brings its own brand of magic to the town. The one-day event will be on Saturday 1st July in the walled garden at Nowton Park, a delightful place to relax and enjoy high-quality live music. With craft stalls, children's activities, food, bar etc this promises to be a wonderful day for the whole family.

Into the Wild with Fire and Steel

Come into the wild of West Stow Country Park and join bushcrafter John Stewart. Learn to light good fires, carve spoons and much more!
A great opportunity to spend the day in our woodland base camp with experienced bushcraft tutor John Stewart. Learn everything there is to know about fire lighting: good locations, finding and using the right wood and natural materials...getting a spark and how to keep a good fire going. Bring some simple food to cook and then use the wooden spoon you've made to try to eat it! You will get to take home the spoons you've made and your own natural fire-lighting kit.

Please wear suitable clothing for the weather and bring sunscreen. Bring a suitable sharp knife if you have one. Bring your lunch and drinks...there will be a chance to cook your own simple food in the fire pit, so bring a pan for your sausages too!

Suitable for ages 12+ and all under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult.

Come together to support East Anglia's Children's Hospice. We rely on support from community to help make home-from-home at our hospices. We care for children and their families with life-limiting conditions.

Our Colour Dash comes to Bury St Edmunds for the third year following its popularity in the last two years.

Join in the most messy fun run you'll ever be part of. Walk, jog or run a short distance as our colour pirates shower you in colourful powdered paint!

Registration starts at £10 for child aged 5-15 years old. There is also:

- Adult (aged 16+) registration = £20

- Team (minimum of 6 people) = £17.50 per person

- Family registration = £50 (1 adult and kids or 2 adults and 2 children).
