Bertram Black and Eve Hegarty run are responsible for the unique creations you’ll find on the menu. Eve typically travels all over in search of the finest ingredients, while Bertram tends to the fire and the delicious flavours it cooks up.
Special Offers and Events
The Forge Kitchen is now available for private events on Mondays and Tuesdays. Scholars from Suffolk New College and the University of Suffolk are eligible for a 20% discount on their meals.
The Forge is a superb place to celebrate all sorts of seasonal events throughout the year, including Christmas and New Year celebrations, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and, of course, birthdays and anniversaries.

Be on the lookout for the custom playing card that will accompany your bill. It may just be a small treat. We have a prize board where you can win one of our superior craft drinks, a free coffee, or even a meal for four if you collect the hands listed on it.
Bubbly Brunchin’
Every Saturday, from 10 am to 12:30 pm, we offer Bubbly Brunch for just £15 per bottle of Prosecco. Select any Brunch meal, and you’ll get bubbles!
The Great British Roast
Every Sunday from 13:00, you can enjoy a Roast Rosemary with Lemon Chicken or Roast British Beef served with cavolo nero, crispy roast potatoes, honey-roasted carrots, and cauliflower cheese.
