The Thomas Gainsborough House Museum and Art Gallery is where you can see a large assortment of his famous works, from paintings and drawings to prints. An ancient mulberry tree adorns the museum’s enclosed garden, where sculpture exhibitions are staged during the summer. A coach house found at the bottom of the garden has its origin in 1928 and serves as a print workshop today.
The museum is run by the Gainsborough’s House Society.Find out more about the surrounding area in our Sudbury guide.
