With a Mediterranean-inspired style, Café Bencotto offers a sophisticated yet casual atmosphere that perfectly complements the fresh cuisine prepared by world-class chefs in an open kitchen.
We’re open every day from 9 am (10 am Sundays), offering grilled items, pasta, pizza, and grilled items, cooked to order, and the day’s specials. Our platters and small plates enable you to sample and share, in true Mediterranean style. You are also welcome to come and enjoy fresh coffee and pastries or a drink at the bar or in our heated courtyard.
Café Bencotto, located in Felixstowe’s downtown area, is a carefully restored and enhanced version of the fire station that used to be there.

Christmas at Café Bencotto
It’s that time of year when Christmas starts to feature in our minds and plans are being made for the festive period.
The 2017 Christmas menu is available for lunch or dinner (£18.95 for 2 courses or £23.95 for 3 courses) and includes a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Each diner will also receive a 241 voucher for use in the new year. Available from December 1st – 31st by pre-booking only. We can accommodate parties from 4-40. Should you be just passing or fancy popping in on the spur of the moment, we always keep some tables unreserved to cater for you. The à la carte menu runs alongside our Christmas menu, so if you fancy a step away from the traditional, why not pizza and pannetone or risotto and affogato?

Gin Selection
The popular gin menu has been updated and includes some refreshing and exciting new varieties. Choose from the Williams Chase Pink Grapefruit (it really does taste of grapefruit), Tarquin’s Cornish (made with homegrown Devon violets !) or the Pinkster (distilled fresh raspberries – bound to become a favourite) along with several others. Breakfast at Benny’s
Breakfast at Café Bencotto is available every day till noon. Choose from a selection of baked to order, breakfast style, focaccia, a stack of delicious buttermilk pancakes or Brioche French toast with scrummy toppings plus Huevos Estrellados – sautéed potatoes topped with spicy tomato sauce and two fried eggs. Wash down with a glass of mimosa, freshly squeezed orange juice or a barista-made coffee. With our free wifi, £1 coffee refills and freshly made food – how better to start the day ?
Roast Chicken on Sundays
We offer Mediterranean style roast chicken every Sunday. That’s half a marinated chicken on roast Mediterranean vegetables and potatoes – flavours such as Lemon and Garlic, Pesto and Sun-dried tomatoes and preserved lemon and black pepper. The full menu is available as always.
£1 Coffee Refills – you can have a second cup of any of our coffees for just £1 per refill, which means you can linger longer, so you might want to check out our range of cakes and pastries in the deli counter.
