Situated in The John Bradfield Viewing Area, right up against the fence of The Port of Felixstowe, the View Point Cafe serves all day breakfasts, fish and chips, snacks, homemade soup, butties, salads and quiche or homemade hot meals and puds (according to season), cakes, ice creams, and a full selection of teas and coffees. Whether you sit inside or out, the fantastic close up views of one of the world’s busiest ports are a shipspotter’s heaven.
Try our Fisherman’s Breakfast or go full out with the Handballer’s Brunch or takeaway a breakfast bap. We try to source locally, including veg from Fruit and Flowers in Felixstowe, bread from the Bread Basket in Walton, sausages and ham from the Sausage Shop in Trimley, burgers from Five Winds butchers at Melton and free range eggs from Harts in Ipswich.
The Landguard Peninsula is located at the most southerly point of the town of Felixstowe. Here you will find a wide range of things to do and see all in one place, including –
The John Bradfield Viewing Area,
Landguard Fort,
Landguard Nature Reserve,
Landguard Bird Observatory,
Felixstowe Museum,
The Harwich Harbour Foot and Cycle Ferry.
The Foot and Cycle ferry crosses between Suffolk and Essex and is part of National Cycle Route 51 and Regional Cycle Route 41.
