The Anchor

Daily, Sophie and her group prepare their tasty bread and offer it for sale at the pub from about 10 am onwards. Please contact us to pre-order. There are several kinds of bread, including white & brown loaf, baguette, and sourdough bread.

Our goal is to provide excellent food using local ingredients whenever possible; lovely wines, a broad selection of real ales and bottled beers. In addition to offering a wonderful dining experience, we also have 10 spacious bedrooms, six of which are eco-clad garden chalets.

Restaurant and Bar Food
Some of the local suppliers we favour include Red Poll Beef, Blythburgh Pork, Marybelle Dairy, and fish from Lowestoft. There is an ever-changing menu of daily specials we offer the same menu in the restaurant and bar. We welcome walk-ins and on warmer days we have outside seating for 150 on three terraces, with table service available.

Our renovated and heated flint barn is a perfect space for meetings, parties or private dinners. It is equipped with a drop-down screen and a projector, ideal for business meetings, corporate training or presentations. This practical feature has come in handy for the charity events, fund-raising projects, and cast beer festivals of the village.

There are six spacious en-suite garden chalets, as well as four rooms in the main building with beautiful sea views. Find out more about our accommodation and book your break here
