Just Traid started approximately 7 years ago with the intention that members of all the Churches in Bury St Edmunds and District should work together to assist in alleviating poverty in developing countries by buying and selling Fair Traded goods.
Just Traid is a totally self financing organisation and with the generosity of some 170 volunteers a successful shop and café has been developed.
We use a number of suppliers who must provide us with their fair trade charter before we deal with them. Any profits are given to nominated charities at the close of each financial year. Just Traid are working towards Bury St Edmunds becoming a Fair Trade town.
