This picturesque pub is in the heart of Kirtling village which is just 5 miles east of Newmarket. In the summer you can relax outside enjoying beautiful views of the Suffolk countryside, and when it’s cold outside there’s a roaring log burner to enjoy in the warm and cosy bar.
We love kids! As parents ourselves we know that it’s essential to find a pub where everyone is welcome and all can relax. We offer childrens portions & young children are encouraged to make friends with ‘Lionel’ the Lion, who lives on the bar and checks that everything’s in order. The kids can give Lionel a cuddle and colour in a picture of him – we’ll supply plenty of crayons!
