Sir John Mills Theatre, Gatacre Road, Ipswich, IP1 2LQ
Following previous successes with The Vicar of Dibley and Fawlty Towers, Two Rivers are once again bringing iconic television history to the Sir John Mills Theatre with a bang by recreating episodes of the famous BBC TV series Dad's Army.
Many familiar faces will be marching the boards including the platoon led by Captain Mainwaring, the debonair Wilson, the enthusiastic Jones, the gentle Godfrey, the Scottish fireball Fraser, the wrangling Walker and the hapless Pike all uniting on stage.
Who could ever forget the famous catchphrases such as "Don't panic", "We are doomed", and "You stupid Boy"? They are synonymous with Dad's Army and the wartime era. They will be ringing out again in three episodes especially rewritten for the stage by the original writers including; 'The Deadly Attachment', 'Mum's Army' and 'The Godiva Affair'.
