Robin Hood – 14 and 15 August 2022

Al Fresco is back with another fantastic family farce after the success of Summertime Cinders in 2021. It’s pure familial enjoyment with Robin Hood—there’s the grasping and thoroughly deplorable Sheriff of Nottingham, Maid Marion, and Robin Hood himself, not to mention a lot of humour, singing, dancing, and plenty of men in tights! The Framlingham Country Show – 20 to 21 August 2022

There’s something for everyone at the Framlingham Country Show. Jonathan Marshall’s falconry on horseback, motorbike stunt demonstrations, heavy horse displays, Britain Got Talent contestant Dima and his dogs, and foodies are just a few examples. Our Punch and Judy show will provide some old-fashioned amusement, along with the Festivals of Kids’ wonderful Gemma’s Petting Farm or Amazing Reptiles. Maui Waui Festival  – 25 to 28 August 2022

Our long-established music and performing arts festival will return to Dereham in 2022 to its beautiful new location, Hill Farm, in a beautiful ancient meadow and woodland setting.

Family-friendly Maui Waui is a weekend of music, art, and culture where people of all ages can express themselves creatively. Bands from all over the world, local talent competitions, DJs, circus performances, creative activities, theatre, workshops, and children’s entertainment are all on the agenda.

Bury St Edmunds Food and Drink Festival – 28 to 29 August 2022

There’s good news for foodies planning to visit Bury St Edmunds this summer, as the annual Food and Drink Festival will be taking place for its 10th time.

Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival – 24 to 25 September 2022

Snape Maltings, set near the Suffolk coast alongside the River Alde, where reed-covered marshlands lead the way to Aldeburgh, hosts this massively popular food festival.

There will be over a hundred local food and drink producers present to sell their goods, including organic vegetables, raw milk, sourdough bread, Aspall cider, award-winning beer and spirits from sponsors Adnams, and finger-licking street food.

There are free children’s activities and hands-on cooking classes at the festival and free tickets for under 15s. You can also find an array of local products in addition to being able to see local and visiting chefs in action during cookery demonstrations on stages. They have had some exceptional chefs visit Suffolk in recent years, including Thomasina Miers, Henry Harris, Valentine Warner, Natalie Colemann, Sabrina Ghayour, and Jane Baxter, among others.

Suffolk Wedding Show – 2 October 2022

Suffolk Events are organising one of the biggest wedding events in Ipswich at Wherstead Park. There are more than 45 local wedding suppliers on display, including wedding dresses, caterers, stationery, menswear, florists, makeup, cars, entertainment, hair, jewellery, and photography, among other things. There is wheelchair access to the venue; however, due to the narrow walkways, pushchairs are not permitted. Please bring a baby sling if necessary. For only three pounds, you can enjoy a colourful day at Wherstead Park filled with the magic of a beautiful wedding day.

Framlingham Sausage Festival – 9 October 2022

At Framlingham, you can sample and purchase the renowned sausages made in East Anglia, using only local ingredients.

Race For Wildlife – 16 October 2022

Our very popular Race for Wildlife is back after two years’ absence! Choose between a 5km or 10km route on October 16, and enjoy a picturesque woodland setting, beautiful reedbeds, and the captivating Little Ouse river. We want to give visitors meaningful connections with wildlife during the event by using the money raised from ticket sales to care for animals. Every penny of profit generated during the event will be used to support conservation initiatives at the preserve. Rock For Heroes – 21 October 2022

Abbey of St Edmunds 1000 Celebrations: St Edmund’s Day Weekend Spectacular – 17 to 20 November 2022

St Edmund’s Abbey is celebrating the 1000th anniversary of its foundation by producing a stunning light display every night between the 17th and 20th of November.
